The Contacts module is where you manage everyone your studio works with -- clients, vendors, contractors, and any other external parties. It is split into two record types: Contacts and Vendors.

To get started, navigate to Contacts in the left menu.

Contacts vs. Vendors

When you add a new record, you choose whether it is a Contact or a Vendor. The two types have different fields and serve different purposes.

  • Contacts are typically clients, but can also include external team members, contractors, plumbers, or anyone else you want to keep in your address book.

  • Vendors are suppliers and trade accounts -- furniture showrooms, fabric houses, lighting vendors, and so on. Vendor records store login credentials, rep information, and pricing defaults that carry into your product catalog.

Navigating the Contacts page

The left sidebar shows two views: Contacts and Vendors. Switch between them to see each list. You can search across all records using the search field at the top of each list.

Tags are available for Contacts only -- not for Vendors. Use tags to organize clients by type, project status, or any category that makes sense for your studio.

If the Add Contact button is grayed out, check that your account settings are enabled. A disabled setting will prevent you from adding new contacts or vendors.
