Setting up SMTP (Others)

Microsoft (Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live.com, MSN)

For most modern Microsoft accounts (@outlook.com, @hotmail.com, etc.), use the following settings:

• SMTP Server: smtp.office365.com

  • Alternate: smtp-mail.outlook.com

• Port: 587

• Encryption: STARTTLS (sometimes just listed as TLS)

Yahoo Mail

Yahoo requires you to generate an "App Password" to use in third-party clients instead of your regular password.

• SMTP Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com

• Port: 465 (with SSL/TLS) or 587 (with STARTTLS)

• Encryption: SSL/TLS or STARTTLs

Apple iCloud Mail

Like Yahoo, Apple requires an "App-Specific Password" for security when connecting from non-Apple apps.

• SMTP Server: smtp.mail.me.com

• Port: 587

• Encryption: STARTTLS (if STARTTLS isn't an option, use SSL/TLS)

AOL Mail

AOL also requires an "App Password" to be generated and used instead of your normal account password.

• SMTP Server: smtp.aol.com

• Port: 465 or 587

• Encryption: SSL/TLS

For Organization/Business Users (you@yourdomain.com)

• SMTP Server: smtppro.zoho.com

• Port: 465 (with SSL) or 587 (with TLS)

• Encryption: SSL or TLS
