Workroom supports multiple product sourcing workflows depending on how your firm manages procurement, specifications, and FF&E organization.
Products can be added manually or sourced directly from vendor websites using the Web Clipper.
Manual Product Entry
Manual entry is designed for fast product creation and operational flexibility.
This workflow is ideal when teams need to:
quickly build schedules
capture sourcing information rapidly
organize products before procurement begins
complete specifications later
avoid losing sourcing progress during busy workflows
After creating a product, most fields can still be edited directly from the Products table.
This allows teams to continue refining procurement and specification data over time.
Using the Web Clipper
The Web Clipper allows teams to source products directly from vendor websites.
This workflow is typically faster because product information can be captured while browsing vendor catalogs online.
Installing the Web Clipper
The Web Clipper currently requires Google Chrome.
How the Web Clipper Works
Open a vendor website in Chrome
Click the Indema Web Clipper extension
Review and complete the product information
Click Save
The product will automatically sync into your Products module.
Best Practices
use manual entry for rapid operational workflows
use the Web Clipper when sourcing from vendor catalogs
verify pricing and specifications after clipping products
standardize naming conventions across projects
assign rooms and categories early for cleaner schedules
Changing images
You can change images really easily using the clipper! Once the clipper clips images, you can delete the image using the trash icon on the bottom right of the image. Then, use the screenshot tool to take a screenshot of a new image in it’s place! The screenshot tool is located at the top right of the clipper:

Operational Tip
Many firms use a combination of manual entry and the Web Clipper throughout the same project depending on sourcing speed, vendor availability, and procurement complexity.
