You can see what the client will see on the estimate public view, by clicking on the action button for the estimate you want to see in the main estimate list. You will see an option "Client View" which will open the estimate in a new tab. This is exactly what your client will see!

Editing Client view:

You may or may not want your client seeing everything your estimate has. In this case, we have a lot of options for you to show your client on the client's view when you send them the estimate link.

The first is while creating the estimate:

When clicking on the Client View option, you can show or hide various components of the estimate, including the approval workflow.

There are three approval workflows on estimates, which you can turn off all of them if you want your client just approving the estimate as a whole:

Here are the workflows:

  • Item approval: This is the individual item approvals.

  • Section Approval: This is a client approving sections like all items within sections.

  • Whole estimate approval. This allows the client to approve ALL items in the estimate.

NOTE: if you elect to allow your client to approve the WHOLE estimate, they will be fully required to agree to a disclaimer. This is a failsafe to make sure clients read the full estimate and are not just randomly approving items without review. This process can not be removed. They will not be able to save the estimate until they certify they have read, reviewed and understood everything they are approving.
