Getting started with Work In Progress

What it is Work In Progress (WIP) is where you plan and track the actual work on a project — every phase, task, subtask, due date, dependency, and hour. The same set of tasks powers five different views, so you can switch between a spreadsheet, a board, a timeline, a portfolio roadmap, and a capacity heatmap without re-entering anything. A change made in one view shows up everywhere.

Where to find it

  • Inside a project: open the project and select the Work In Progress tab.

  • Across all projects: use the standalone Work In Progress page from the main menu to see and plan work spanning every project at once.
